A brief history of the Chicago & North Western Iowa Division mainline, now part of the Overland Route:

06/26/21

This simple deck girder bridge crosses Beaver Creek in Beaver.
Similar to many other bridges in the area, this deck girder features two lines of girders, on concrete and stone substructures.
Originally, a wooden trestle likely stood at this location. During the double tracking of 1898-1902, this structure was built.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition. Some repairs were likely made in the 1940s.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the number of deck girders in the area.
